Nice B &W photo. Stuart's comment is right on. Cheers, Matt

You would be right at home here Matt. We generally don't break 60F on most days even in midsummer. The highest temperature ever recorded in Reykjavik was 78 I think....it's mostly in the 50s in the summer, and maybe low 60s on nice days. It feels warmer though! 55 is t-shirt and sunbathing weather.

Anyway, here are two random photos from a dinner party a while back.

My photos are here: http://www.stuartrichardson.com and more recent work here: http://stuartrichardson.tumblr.com/ Please have a look at my book!

Stuart: The weather's just getting wacky! Iceland's at 65 deg. N. latitude and Seattle's at 47 deg. N. I prefer colder, more temperate, weather to hot; but, it feels like October. In 15 minutes, the weatherman's going to tell us if the sun will appear at all next week. Sounds overly ominous. Oh well.

Nice candid shots. The tone of the PP seems appropriate.

Went for a walk on the beach on Sunday morning to finish up a roll of Ektar. While I was there, I loaded up a roll of Rollei Retro 80S and slapped on a red (25a) filter.

This film has an extended sensitivity, into IR territory. I may try the next roll with an IR filter on a really bright sunny day just for kicks.

Helen: Three very stylish old school B&W's! Great stuff! Noirish Moi probably shouldn't be shown to your shrink. The old lady and the portrait are contrasty, dark, classics.

I am using my last bit of Fuji 200, then going to try to get my head around Slide file for a few months Fuji Sensia 100

ACDsee Pro 3 has WB plus a 9 slider control for primary and secondary color specific adjustments in Saturation/Brightness/Hue. Very helpful !

Claire, I love the Hollywood Beach photos with the Rollie film. Looks like a good way to go in the contrasty Florida sunshine.

Nothing wrong with the picture at all, sort of has a retro feel.

Now about that gentleman with the cigarette who can't read...

    Thanks!

I want to know your Tri-X/Rodinal secrets. The combination is a real winner for you - can you share time/temp/agitation/dilution information?

I was on my way out and bringing my coffee mug to the counter. saw it. snapped it.

I am getting a bit sneaky lately.

I was at CVS today, when I remembered I had a roll of Ektar with me that needed processing. To develop the film only (no prints or scans), they wanted $2.19. So I figured what the heck, I'll give it a try. By the way, that $2.19 includes unlimited dust.

I came home and started scanning. The colors were kind of funk-o-licious, so I brought them into Lightroom to funk them out a little more (and the clone tool makes quick work of the dust spots).

I must say, this rangefinder business sure is different. It seems to be causing me to take all kinds of pictures I would never take with my dslr.

Not sure where you live. If you have a Target around, their next day pick up for C41 processing is only 95cent a roll. even cheaper and probably less dusty.
