My first roll of Extar 100 in the M6. Some from earlier this past Fall, and one recent. Scanned drugstore prints... looks like I need to clean the scanner. No photoshop. I'm impressed with this film.

Very inspirational work everyone. Its been some time since I've visited this thread. Glad to see film is alive and kicking.

Here are a few from a reportage I did in New Orleans...

First trip I took without a digital solution. Just a pair of M7's, 28 Cron Asph and 50 Summicron, TMY-2, Neopan 400, Across-100 and a couple of rolls of Portra 400NC

Nice stuff, Lloyd. This last one has a storybook look about it that is just great. I love Ektar, too, esp in medium format.

Good stuff. I like them all, but especially the first and third.

Leif, Those are beautiful. The first is my favorite. I really like the simplicity of it.
Lloyd, M6 and Ektar seems a marriage made in heaven. Your photos are all so rich looking.
JPlomley, Nice set from New Orleans. I like them all, but my favorite is the horn on the money box.

Thanks, Cindy! I really like the mood (and tone) of your III shots, esp #2. Something about that Elmar!
Lloyd, the first and last are absolutely beautiful. I canīt believe the mountains in the background. I need to try some Ektar out.

Matt, Cindy, many thanks for the feedback.

Cindy, those BW400CN images are terrific. I've always wondered about C41 B&W film. I'm sure it scans a lot nicer than traditional B&W.

Lloyd: Cool, or is it really "kewl". Nicely done with the M6 and Ektar. Don't need to guess which was Fall, and, which is now.

Steve, top drawer work. Very nicely presented.

Here is another from Nawlin's.....I'm sure there was a really good reason she was massaging the police officers neck at this time of the night

Steve: I was about to ask you how many cameras you were carrying! And, then i read down a bit. Impressive work and exemplary effort. The kid's look in 6's cool and 9, as Lloyd said, is notably "haunting".

Re: How about more and more fun with Leica M? (Film)

    @ Steve:
The museum shots - I love them. I need two more Leicas!

    Now; Rodinal!
Havenīt used the stuff for years, and have in the past hated this old recipe more than once, when grain and contrast have killed my negs (because I werenīt careful enough )

So; I read (and read and read) about stand development (and thought; thatīs flat out cheating - why have millions of photographers learned to develop film properly if it can be done just by leaving the tank alone for an hour or two??)

Then Iīve seen images, good ones, great grey scale, sharp, interesting. I ordered some Rodinal (R09 One Shot) and made the plunge. The first roll was a DISASTER. Grain like Norwegian hail - or golf balls, if youīre not familiar with that phenomenon). It turned out: You donīt guess on how much 3ml is, when it comes to Rodinal!

I gave it one more try. And: Iīll do it again! The image below is scanned off a half dry neg and itīs not much of an image (not even really sharp), but the gradation is there, right? Itīs Fuji Acros, by the way (late afternoon, low winter sun, through trees)

    CL, CV 2,5/35mm PII

Great shots everyone from this page.

Lloyd, I like the 1st and 3rd shots with the Ektar. Film is fun huh?

JPlomley, very nice shots and tones with the M7. #1 and #5 is my favorite.

Cindy, I like #1 with the iiig. Nice tones!

Steve, love your take with film at the MFA. 3 Leicas at MFA? . Like #2, 3 & 9 from the first set and the man with the lampshade hat. Excellent catch!

Leif, nice shots from the previous page and I like the tones on this last shot you posted.

Steve, you should try the new Portra 400 which just replaced the NC and VC range.

The shots above are drugstore CVS scans, taken with my trusty M6 TTL.

Did you recently add a film M body or you had one all along?

leif: Does seem like the gradation is there. Maybe missing a little white and black at the edges of the range?

I normally don't quote images in a reply, but it's relevant here.

Are those geese or brant? The necks look too short for geese.

    Really love this photo.

    Thanks.
