Thanks for the history lesson on Vladimir Ilyich! I get it now..;)

So what your telling me is the Epson 750 is 180 more for the proper software...Oy!
I bought the Epson V700. Check it out. I think the hardware differences are minor. It comes with Silverfast...so if you are going to have to upgrade the software anyway...

First rolls of film back. It's a humbling experience for a pixel peeper with an M9. A reminder that photography is more then resolution and sharpness. The PP is also quite different. Here's a few from the first roll. These were taken in front of my office (a place I've stalked with the M9). M7, 50mm Summilux-M f/1.4, Ilford HP5 Plus. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Matt.

More from the first shoot. Second roll. M7, 50mm Summilux-M f/1.4, Fuji Velvia 50. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Matt

Gorgeous stuff, Matt!! I concur with Cindy on the Teak Bird photo- fabbo tones!! One of them looks a bit like a platinum print, too. Yum!

Here's a couple of critter shots from the M4-P/Jupiter-8:

I'm not sure why exactly, but that photo makes me think of 1970's fashion photos.

At The Back Door, April, 2010

Shot on "ShurFine 400" film (made in Japan; Fuji something?), processed and scanned at the nearest Walgreens, tweaked in Lightzone.
Scooter owes you one:D

Sorry, I'm hogging the thread. Third roll of film. M7, 50mm Summilux-M f/1.4, Fuji Neopan 400. thanks for looking. Cheers, Matt.
Matt, please keep hogging the thread. It only is making it better!

Regards.

Steve: Glad to enlighten you! I should have set up an import business. I saw some Laotian metal gates with red stars over them that would have looked good in gardens.

The Siverfast software that comes with the 750 is good. It just doesn't have the new Silverfast multiexposure feature (which seems to work well and takes a lot less time!).

Cheers, Matt

Matt, I sometimes love velvia and sometimes I just cannot bear it. You and your lab seem to be doing ok with it.

Regards.
Rayyan: I know what you mean. My shots are totally different in color quality from Ocean's DC shots? I'll have to work on it. I know Ken Rockwell uses it a lot with excellent results (IMHO). My color favorite so far is Fuji Provia 400.

Cheers, Matt
