Buskers Festival at Pike Place Market, Seattle.

Went there with Ed from the Digital Leica section a couple weeks ago. More photos to come.

Steve, thanks for you kind words, they are appreciated! Castle Island is just a beautiful spot! One of my favorite walks in the city is to start at the entrance to the sugar-bowl and walk out along the causeway, then around the Island and back around the lagoon to complete the circle. I know your familiar with the spot!

. . . . . anyway a couple from the Seattle Center.

++++4!

Beautiful photographs Araakii!

. . . . . I'll be on the look out for the shooter with the M7 down at the market!
Thanks Dan. Actually unlike Matt or Alvin I don't shoot at the market that much. I only go there when there's a special event or festival. I much prefer going to the Fremont Sunday market.

Wow....wasn't aware this thread was here until I saw Dan's note in another. I will need to go through about 48 pages now :).

Araakii....those shots on this page are excellent!

I have dumped my M9 and gone fully analog as far as Leica M goes....here are some

Beautiful work, Ryan. Hard to believe you would dump your M9, as your work with it was pure magic!

Thanks for the kind comment Lloyd! I just found myself not using it over the last couple of months. No need to hold onto it for now while I am on this film kick :). Not to mention, I can't come anywhere close with digital for portraits to what Portra is giving me. I love this look!

New baby boy doesn't get as much picture time as the girl...but here is one with Portra 160 & 50 Lux ASPH

and one with the 50 Planar...which not sure why but I like the Planar better than the 50 Lux for film

That is magic. Are you developing your B/W (or color, for that matter) yourself? If so, we'd love to have development info.

Here is my demonstration :)

This shot was with the M9....took a lot of PP to make this file look like this and still not totally satisfied:

This shot was Portra, could benefit from some pp....but didn't touch the image :)

I do like the color from Porta, and the grain structure is magic, although I have to say that first shot is really nice. I do notice some color difference, especially in her dress.

Ryan, beautiful film work!

Since you are not developing on your own, are you having the film developed at a lab then put on a High Resolution CD or doing something else?
