Cindy, a lovely set. But the above is superb for it sweeping depth.
Of course, the deserts here are a little different.!!:D

Best regards.
Thank you Rayyan. If you get a chance, Google "London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, Arizona" and you will read the story of how a man bought the 1800's London Bridge and had it moved half-way around the world. He had it re-built (stones had been numbered when dis-assembled) in the desert. He dug a canal under it, starting and ending back at the nearby Colorado river. Then he built a town around it.
It made me very sad to hear of your loss of the get-away on the beach. I hope that your son can re-build it some day. I'm glad that your family was safe. You have a beautiful spot there.

Dan, I like both shots of the lighthouse, but I do think I like the less-contrasty version even better.
I love the shots with the 45 Planar. Wow! I am going to have my 35 G converted soon. I haven't tried the Portra 400, but like your result here. Looks like you have a lot of interesting subjects nearby.

My wife and me had a small paradise to ourselves and family.

For the kids, it was their place to get away from the parents!

Then the Tsunami struck. You all know the tragedy of it.

Of no significance compared to the catastrophe suffered by others, our little hut got

swept away. Vanished!!

I do not have the financial or physical and mental strength to rebuild it.

But the small land remains. So does the beach.

We leave it for the kids to make it their little piece of paradise.

My son and the only footprints are ours in the photo.

Sri Lanka. Portra 160 VC. M7.
Rayyan - sorry to hear about this - but what a lovely stretch of beach for your kids to enjoy!
