Thanks, Lloyd. The lighting was provided by a home-made macro flash I built back around 1980. I mounted two flash tubes on the sides of a Cokin lens hood. It's all manual, but I've been using it for so long now that I intuitively know what to set the aperture to for a given bellows extension.Wow. Very cool sequence. Tack sharp, great light too. Thanks, Cindy.Turbo, I'm really impressed. I'd love to see a picture of the home-made macro flash set-up.
Gorgeous image.I inadvertently posted this on a thread "Black and White pics, show yours!!!" that I didn't realize was for 4/3rds cameras.....so here it is in a more appropriate spot.

Thanks for sharing, Turbo. It is a very cool setup. I wish I had skills to put together something like this. Thanks, Cindy.
The flash head is built around a Cokin lens hood. The switches on the back allow me to turn on/off each flash tube, so I can get some side lighting if wanted. The socket connects to the batteries and flash electronics.
This is a beauty, Gary.I inadvertently posted this on a thread "Black and White pics, show yours!!!" that I didn't realize was for 4/3rds cameras.....so here it is in a more appropriate spot.

Very nice, Cindy. Great shots, and of one my favorite places in the world.
I noticed it was the M4-P, but I say it works anywhere!! :thumbup:Thanks, Lloyd. This is one of my favorite places in the world, too.
BTW, I just realized I put it in the wrong thread. It should have been in the Leica M thread.
Still an amazing camera. Here's an Xpan snap with the 30mm on Velvia 100... last week.
