Maggie: Nice photos, scans and pp. I like this first one too. I also didn't know that there was a Beach in Nebraska!

Early 1970's. Nikkormat with Tri-X Pan. I've been working on scanning these two images. So far this is my best effort. These guys are sitting in the un-renovated Pike Place Market. Probably should have made their tones similar (just noticed!). Cheers, Matt

This is a great shot, Matt. And the truth is, if you hadn't said it was from the early 70s, I would have thought it one from your more recent Pike's Place Market collection.

Lloyd: Thanks. The thing is these guys wouldn't be hanging around the market. Like most major cities, we've "cleaned up" and gentrified the old, affordable, areas of downtown. They'd be out somewhere in a home, or a cheaper neighborhood away from downtown. BTW, I just bought a film nikon (Steve inspired me to buy!). I've got all of those lenses; so, why not. Cheers, Matt

Here's another Pike Place Market photo from the early 70's that I just scanned. Potatoes are 3 lbs. for 25 cents. Nikkormat and Tri-X. The VP750 did an excellent job of cleaning up scratches/etc. Cheers, Matt

Steve: Thanks. I love the camaraderie that these two guys appear to have. He does have a distinctive schnoz! I think I did score a used F6. :D It was supposed to ship ON; but, it's on "hold"? Hope they didn't sell me something they didn't have. Cheers, Matt
