Ken Rockwell's Mamiya DM33 review

2 questions regarding the DF camera...
Shutter
1/4,000 to 30 seconds.
No bulb; the longest time is 30 seconds, period.
is that true?
How do you handle long exposure with an older Phase One DB?

The Contax 645's electronic AF is far superior, allowing instant manual focus override simply by grabbing the focus ring. Canon and Nikon do this too, today, but not this Mamiya.
is that true?
You can't manually override AF on the Mamiya/Phase camera?

The Contax 645 just goes.
no question... it's true :D

Totally agree with Ken about the Mamiya body being a loser. It's butt ugly, no waist level finder option and just looks cheap.

I also use the Leaf 33mp back (75S) but on a Contax 645. If that option wasn't available I'd probably go with Hasselblad.

There is definitely a Bulb mode on the body and you can certainly do exposures longer than 32 seconds with some Phase One backs. The article talks about the DM33 back which is limited to 32 seconds.
