Yosemite in the Spring

I am going to Yosemite for a nine days this April and wanted to see if anyone had suggestions/thoughts - SPECIAL places to visit/shoot, lens to take, dos/don't, can/can'ts. Cell phone or internet coverage?

General thoughts?

Five days with Phil Hawkins workshop and four days solo. Taking my CAMBO RS and Nikon D700.

Thanks,

Tim

Depending on what lenses you are packing for the Cambo, the D700 might just be extra weight.
Most of the iconic shots call for fairly wide lenses, say a 35mm on a full frame MF setup.
In that valley a "normal" lens often will be good for isolations.

There are just too many good locations in and over the valley; you are best to let the weather and time of day be your guide.
DO NOT MISS A DAWN.

Thanks Bob. I will be taking the 35mm, 47mm, 70mm and 90mm for the CAMBO. The D700 was just for macro and walking around, but it's extra stuff...
