Roadside Shrine

This is one of the crosses I mentioned at the intersection of Webb Chapel and Harry Hines. Being on the median of a very busy road, I had difficulty even taking a shot.
I cannot imagine how much harder it would be to set up the crosses in the dark.

Thought of your images while driving the other day ... There are many roadside shrines here in Hawaii .... Here is one I saw on the way to the North Shore off of Kunia Road..... Pineapple, oranges and a flower lei...

ShiroKuro,
Interesting shot, do these shrines memorialize someone like the ones here?

Lili ,
These shrines are in memory of people who died in a car accident .. Most are very similar to the the one you photographed .... in most cases theses memorials will be maintained for years to come .

The same here. I have been so tempted to leave flowers myself.

One, that stood for years here, was in memorium of a biker killed by a hit and run driver.
The site was finally bulldozed and developed.

Sadness
