Low Tide

Went fishing in the Everglades this morning, caught a couple of nice seatrout and some jacks. But the best part was that low tide was at 8 am. Since the moon was nearly full, we got a nice negative low tide that exposed the oyster bars along the gulf coast and kept out the boats that draft more than 6 inches for a couple of hours. We had the place all to ourselves.

Within 20 minutes of this shot, these oyster bars were submerged by the incoming tide. The window of opportunity was very short.

Another great shot, Claire. I like the simplicity of the forms - the composition of the tree bending one way and the sand bar the other.
