Hello Gary

Not quite early 1950s but she is CC18006 = 1955 .
CLA'd and fully functional . Excellent shutter . The daughter of my two "1600Fs" in same good shape .
Best regards . Jürgen .

My pair of fully mechanical Leica SLR beauties. They just don't make them like this anymore.

Sliding down that slippery slope with another M-mount lens for my Sony A7.

I bought a Voiglander 75mm f1.8 Heliar in early 2014 and was able to resist any more additions until now. When tried a friend's Voigtlander 35mm f1.2 II and Zeiss 50mm f1.5 Sonnar on the A7 recently my resistance crumbled. Decided to go with the Zeiss 35mm f2 Biogon. Couldn't wait for the Loxia 35 any longer, although I may ultimately end up with both, in which case the 35 Biogon will probably get used on my Fuji XT1 etc.

I foolishly let this one "get away." A Canon VI-T with a 50mm f1.2. One of the prettiest range finders ever:

A recently purchased 1956 M3, with a 1959 Summicron 35 Type 1

I previously had a '55 M3 DS and sold that due cashflow issues but later regretted that sale. This M3 is much cleaner, recently CLA'ed and is from my birth-year, so it's a keeper.

I have my previous M2 for sale on here too by the way.

This was my previous M3:

Seen with my still-loved M9:

Just to prevent this thread from falling asleep .
SONY A7II with HEXANON F2,4/50mm collapsible . I got the lens in almost new condition from JAPAN , as it is not available on the european market . It has a LEICA M-MOUNT and was built in 1995 .
Shot with the new SONY FE 2,8/50 MACRO and my second A7II . Only very little sharpening applied .

I have an early 1958 M2. Still without a self timer which is only produced part of the first year of production.

Here it's pictured with the usual amenities, not pictured (but still in use as well) are a 1949 50/3.5 and 1956 90/4

Lovely set, still sees a B&W film once in a while.

I've posted this in the GM5 thread earlier, my most used kit at the moment:
Panasonic GM5 with 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6, 35-100mm f/4.0-5.6 and 25mm f/1.7. An incredibly small, lightweight setup that hits way beyond its class.

A quick shot of my ZUIKO GANG . These are extremely good lenses I use with the SONY A7II .
As some lenses have extreme curved glas , a reflex free image from this perspective , will obviously only be possible using a big light tent , which I don't have . So take it as it is .

Wow, I'm jealous. Great f2 set and a 55/1.2 to boot. The only f2 zuiko I have is the 85/2, but that's a real gem as well! For the rest I'm more in the f2.8 world (24/100/135) as well as a run-of-the-mill 50/1.4

Btw, all Zuiko's I have seen have always been full black, while these seem to have blank polished metal rings and other parts. Was that a special edition or another (less advertised/sold) variety?

Two versions of a Takumar Duet

I find the Takumars a joy to use, focusing is smooth as butter and rendering is nice and sharp.

The latest and final addition to my Leica R body collection. This was my first purchase from Tamarkin Camera in Chicago. Dan Tamarkin was very helpful and I really enjoyed talking with him. While I won't be buying any more R bodies, there are still a few R lenses on my wish list and I'll be checking Tamarkin Camera's inventory regularly.

So, remind me again, what was so bad about film?

Found this old image of stuff from my time shooting film. A couple of Mamiya 6s and lenses, Horseman SW612 and lenses, Widelux, and an Ansco De Jur rangefinder.

At least I hung onto one of the Mamiyas, a light meter, and that small silver Ansco De Jur rangefinder.
