Jackson Hole WY

We're beginning our 6th week of a 8-week stay in the Jackson Hole area; sort of a total immersion photographic experiment. We've used 3-camera systems to capture images, a Canon 1DsIII, a Leica M9, and a Cambo WRS1000 with a P65+ digital back. There's also a cheap video camera we've used for fun.

The original plan was to get here in time to capture the beautiful fall colors then stay long enough for the beginning of winter. We missed the height of the fall colors by a week due to an early snow storm then went several weeks with mild temps before finally getting snow (lots of snow). The landscape turned unattractive (don't want to use the word ugly) so we began looking for other alternatives and found flowing water, buffalo, moose, etc.

I had also hoped to get a total of 8 "gallery" images; those good enough to print and offer for sale. We have 19. There's a mixture of pure landscape, wildlife and wildlife and landscape.

We've been working long hours both in the field and on the computer checking the images which have taken us away from checking in as often as I'd would of liked. Yesterday was a day of rest, working on images, posting a blog and resting from an early start of a cold.

The images here are just a small sample of what we've been able to accomplish so far. There's close to 6" of snow in Jackson with more coming the next 10-days with even more in the higher elevations so off to work we go.

Enjoy the images, I hope to check in later on.
