Dinner last night. Cheap lens, good food, excellent company :)

GM5 with Pana 25mm f/1.7 @ f/1.7

Charming lady and great picture.
But let me ask, aren't you bothered by the orange peel texture covering the entire image?
IIRC it was Lloyd Chambers who introduced that term.

Yes and no. I would have preferred Tri-X grain, and the noise from m4/3 sensors must be some of the ugliest in the history of photography. I mostly don't bother much with noise removal/correction these days, since it's all a hobby now, and since I don't like the softness introduced by noise suppressing software unless I invest time and effort to optimise it.

The Orange Peel Texture (OPT?) seems to me to come from a combination of noise and lens characteristics btw. It was very prominent on the Fuji S3/S5 bodies when low quality glass was used.

I'll try to find the slot to insert Tri-X into the GM5, or maybe I should just upgrade to the GX85?

Edit: And yes, the lady is very charming, and the Gewürztraminer that we shared was good too. Unfortunately, we live in different countries, so the encounters only happen when I find an excuse to cross the border.

A couple of weeks old, but I edited it today, so I'll cheat and say it's my picture of this week :)
