Thanks for the likes! These are mostly "holiday snaps" rather than serious studies, so the quality isn't great.

I was there for the first time in 1960, when the surroundings were unkempt. Ireland is now more aware of its historical heritage, with considerable effort put into the "visitor experience":

This is Legananny Dolmen or Portal Tomb, Co Down, N Ireland. Unusually, the capstone and the supporting stones are very slender. These neolithic megaliths are about 5,000 years old.
