    Composition Studies

Trying to improve my pictures, I decided I need to find a place that I can revisit over and over again to work on my skills.

NW Atlantik, Donegal, St. John's Point. A wonderfull place to study composition, I only spend an hour there, but will go back for longer as soon as the weather allows it.... I can easily spend a days there composing frames....

To me the area here is like an invitation for experiments, inspiring might be the right word.

just thinking about it... now here is a nice task.... create a deadline...six months or so.... then take the 5-7 strongest compositions.... create prints and bring to market....

I like to use Jeffrey Smart, an Australian painter, as an inspiration and teacher to learn composition. Some Jeffrey Smart Google images here.

I happen to be going to a gallery to see a couple of his images to day, just a coincidence.
