    Re: Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Okay, so the first one is of the rare 1969 Trans Am. The second is from a rather impromptu gathering of a group of BMW Z4M Coupe owners, me (and mine) on the far left. Only 1815 imported into North America from 2006-2008. You will hardly ever see one, but they are wonderful, fun, and exciting cars. Highly underrated.

All trains leaving or entering Edinburgh Waverley Station to/from the west have to pass through a tunnel right underneath the Scottish National Gallery

Ah, that's closer to home than I thought. I was thinking of a BW in Germany, not good old Rotjeknor, my former home town. As a teenager, I've seen and photographed the 23 023 many times. In high school I even made super 8 movie about the SSN loks. That must have been around 1979. Good memories.

    Re: Planes, Trains and Automobiles

^^ Great Bart, an original Austerity saddle tank that came to the Dutch Railways after WW2 in 1945

Here's another one that came to the Dutch Railways in 1945, but from Switserland, NS 7853

    Sony A850 + Tamron 28-200XR

Actually this one never did real service in the Netherlands at that time, but the 7851 and 7852 which were exactly the same did. This one was sold by the Swiss railways to a factory and only brought to the Netherlands to be preserved by the Museum Buurtspoorweg in Haaksbergen. Here's a nice YouTube video of the engine in service
