^^ Great Bart, an original Austerity saddle tank that came to the Dutch Railways after WW2 in 1945

Here's another one that came to the Dutch Railways in 1945, but from Switserland, NS 7853


Sony A850 + Tamron 28-200XR

Actually this one never did real service in the Netherlands at that time, but the 7851 and 7852 which were exactly the same did. This one was sold by the Swiss railways to a factory and only brought to the Netherlands to be preserved by the Museum Buurtspoorweg in Haaksbergen. Here's a nice YouTube video of the engine in service

Christmas display in my Italian barbershop window.

(Early 1960s a GTO cost 18,000 dollars. Today they sell for 70,000,000 dollars).
