Thanks Arild!

Now for something different....."The GESE Reefer". Courtesy of Nik Silver Efex Pro-2, with a "Film Noir" look.

Beautiful developing, and, above all, nice comping. Did you use a film preset here?
Thanks! I'm just learning the basics of what Silver Efex Pro 2 can do right now. This is one of the presets that appears on the left side of the screen. I believe it was called "Film Noir 1".

Here was my first conversion of this image, with a more straight forward look. I think this preset was called "High Structure Harsh"....with a little extra contrast added in Photoshop.

I decided to convert the hobo pictures to monochrome in Silver Efex2.

I was in my home town for Thanksgiving. Walking through the mostly empty downtown I came across this barber shop. It was closed at the time but I decided when I came back for Christmas, I was getting a hair cut and hopefully some images. In my mind's eye I had pictured the proprietor, but when I showed up this morning this is the gentleman I met. This was his father's shop for 30 some years, and then he took it over 25 years ago. As it turns out, he and I had the same 9th grade photography instructor. It was after that class I knew in I wanted to be a photographer.
