Canon 550D + 2800mm ---> moon, jupiter

Today a wonderfull night, moonlight, no clouds, warm ... taking some pictures with 550D and a 2800mm tele

Bright moonshine is not always an advantage to make night pictures - especially when Jupiter stands near horizon ...

Kallisto, Ganymed, Io and Europa flying round Jupiter

NASA makes better pictures

Red point on Jupiter = whirl storm, existing since > 300 years, dimensions 24.000 km x 12.000 km ... earth diameter ~ 12.700 km

Now, I must ask, what is this 2800mm lens? Perhaps a small telescope? lol...

CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH JUPITER: Last night, (21st Sept) Earth and Jupiter converged for their closest encounter until 2022.

Jupiter will remain at about the same distance from Earth for weeks to come.
