    Fun with the Canon PowerShot G1 X

    Got today the G1 X in for review, Here some first shots.

    Nice pics. Did you shoot raw and if so, did you have to sharpen much in PP?

    I only shoot raw. Sharpen seems to be normal like with any Canon 60D (i use my own commercial sharpening tools).

    Raw Converters used so far: Lightroom 4 and DxO .



    At widest angle and f/2.8 (from DxO)

    Nice review thank you. Aside from its smile size, how accurate did you find the optical viewfinder?

    Did not even bother to look. We consider framing essential and this does not feel well.

    I tried the OVF multiple time and always gone back to the LCD. But I found a technique to hold it more stabil.

    ISO 3200. Some PS. AV with -1EV on board flash. You mentioned "fun with" right?
