Finally got to do a little product shot of a cool old Martin guitar in the studio yesterday. This new lens is remarkable. The only flaw is a slightly too coarse focusing helcoid but that's made up somewhat by having a very well damped gearing.

I wanted to document this guitar I bought a few months ago. It's rare to find a 71 year old guitar in pretty great condition. It's a 1947 000-18 Martin. And it's sweet.

This was a horizontal frame shifted up and down. I flopped the giant Cambo gearhead over on its side and mounted the camera horizontally using the L-bracket and was then able to slide that up and down 12mm from center to keep the lens in the same spot. Shot as f/10 on the 5DSR. Details are 100 percent crops.
