Canon FD to EOS R Novoflex adapter question

I purchased a Novoflex Canon FD to EOS R adapter, but can't get it to work on an RP camera. I followed the instructions as you cannot use the "A" setting, but need to manual adjust aperture on lens and shutter on camera. That's fine, but the camera will not fire at all. I looked at menu settings, but couldn't find any specific settings for manual lenses. How do I make this work? I'm using an FD 85mm 1.2 L.

Ok, Did a deep dive in the menus and enabled the feature.
