    Olympic National Park in April

I'm going to make a quick 2-day trip around Olympic National Park in mid-April. I welcome any suggestions you might have.

The sword ferns will not yet be uncurled, so forests will not be at their best. I can recommend Second Beach and Third Beach, both near LaPush on the coast. Second Beach is 0.7 mi. one-way; if I recall correctly, Third Beach is about twice as far. Being at either place at sunrise and/or late p.m. to sunset could be great, depending on the weather. Many people recommend Rialto Beach, but I find it much less interesting (except it's very easy to get to). Beach Three, just north of Kalaloch, is easy to get to and is infrequently visited; I've spent many enjoyable hours there.

Ruby Beach is also a great roadside beach. Also, the Hoh Rainforest would be pretty good this time of year.
