Wahweap Hoodoos: The Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument

Do any members of Getdpi have experiece with the amazing Hoodoos referenced above? I understand one has to drive on a long dirt road to get to them...and perhaps camp out to see them in good light. Are there any guides available who could take a stranger to this area? Any useful information or experience would be appreciated. Charles

    Did you see this: http://www.zionnational-park.com/wahweap-hoodoos.htm

It looks like it isn't so difficult, but that the best time of year is past.

I've not used them, but have heard positive things, esp. re. Jackson Bridges

When I was in Arizona in early May, our guide, Steve Dodson of Paria Outpost and Outfitters, said that the road to the Wahweap hoodoos had been closed, and that you had to hike from the trailhead/road closed sign. He said it's a 4-mile hike but not difficult. Steve is one of the best guides in the area and I highly recommend him.
