Re: Fun with the Fuji X-E1

Had the X-Pro1 two years ago (together with the 18, 35, 60) , sold it, got the D800e. Now, for the small form factor, I got my X-E1 yesterday, together with the 18-55.

First, some camera porn:

and an image from my first walk with the new arrival:

Ahhh. How I love that X-System.

Great shot, William, love the processing here as well. Thanks for sharing some shots from your trip. Looking forward to more.

I'm not sure I have ever seen a shot of Half Dome from that perspective. You must be what, further to the east and up out of the valley floor? The challenge I find shooting anything famous is finding something different about it to capture. William, you pulled it off, congrats!

Chuck,
Many thanks! This is coming in from Tioga pass on road 120 and the place is called Olmsted point. you can either stay at the vista or wander around. I'm really happy with this one myself. I have seen so many shots of Half Dome and had no idea how I was going to get something " of my own" :)

How about some surfing ? ! This was taken at Pismo beach from the pier. I really like to be able to explore this angle from above.

Fuji Xpro1 and 18-55 lens.

Really enjoying the X-E1, and I didn't even get it off Jono:ROTFL:
Not sure I'm going to bother too much with RAW. Only the Otter pic is from RAW to pull the highlights. Rare to see a pair at it in sunlight I'm told.
