LCD cover?

I have used Giottos or GGS glass covers on all my camera LCD's for some time now. However, I am rethinking this option. The 3" is ever so slightly smaller than the viewable area. Although minor and barely noticeable, the edge of the glass does of course stand up a tiny amount from the surface of the LCD panel. And do I really need it anyway? So I might get a few light scratches. This time I am choosing to go "naked". I think I'd just has soon leave the LCD panel in it's native, perfectly flat condition.

I use GGS glass type on all my cameras, The Sony DSLR's, X100 and the Xpro1. Fit and forget! :D
Yes, I also use those on most of my cameras including the X-Pro 1 , but the exception is the OM-D which has a touch screen and probably would not work with a glass protector.
