Any XPro-1 focus tips?

I get a much higher hit rate.
tips?
I can only say what I do.
I use center AF mostly, I make sure that I point the whole focus point on the subject that should be in focus (if possible), I avoid C-AF, for very short distance I eventually switch to evf.

Put the X-Pro1 on MF.
Assign focus to the AE button on the rear and disable AF on half shutter press.
Personally this combination works extremely well as I'm doing the focusing on demand.
