Any issues with X100S in macro mode?

Still waiting delivery of my X100S.
Have read a couple reviews saying the X100S can be soft when shooting up close unless stopped way down. Wanted to get feedback from other owners of the X100S. One of my primary uses for this camera will be shooting indoors at museums at very close range, likely @ f/2-f/4.

You should not buy the X100S for this purpose. The lens is not deigned to be used wide open at close distances.

This was first revealed on Fuji's X100 marketing web site a couple of years ago during an interview with the lens design team. I think this is also mentioned in more recent versions of the User Mannual.

The lens does improve for your purposes by f 4.
