I've just bought a Fuji XPro2 and 56/1.2 APD lens. I need to see if the lens will be too demanding for my less than perfect skills and technique. My plan is just to shoot jpegs because I mainly need to see if I can focus the lens at max aperture.
I believe that Lightroom can process Fuji files up to a point and don't want these test jpegs to be tampered with.
My question is, if I just import the jpegs into the Lightroom Library in order just to look at the images, and not run them through any developing commands, will Lightroom still process them in any way?
If so, I'd probably still be able to examine my technique well enough. If not, however, I could go on to my next goal, which would be to just Lightroom as a holding tank for images while I go on to assess whether Fuji's highly acclaimed SOOC jpegs would be good enough for my general purpose non-exhibition work. (I'd shoot raw files while I'm at it, though, and process them as needed once I've then learned to use a more appropriate PP application.)
Thanks for your help,
Irenaeus
