I particularly like image 2. This series confirms to me what a good lens that short zoom is...not to mention the photographers of course :p

A couple more miles heading West on St. Road 4.

In this vicinity the huge Las Conchas wildfire started in June of 2011 that burned more than 150,000 acres, the largest wildfire in NM history. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Las_Conchas_Fire

As one can see in the images the burned tree trunks are still standing.

Mirador White Rock is a website that also contains the following map.

This map shows the housing building site in White Rock, NM about a mile and a quarter from my house. My oldest son and yours truly visited the site yesterday and shot some images. My son used the Fuji 50S with GF23 f/4 and I used the Sony A7r.2 with CV 10/5.6.

One can enter the site in the middle from St. Road 4. Public access is available to the entrance street, appropriately named La Vista Dr, and the 2 streets to the right. Those 3 streets have an asphalt cover. The area to the left of the entrance street has dirt roads for use by construction crews only.

At the very end of the 2 streets to the right currently about 30 houses are under construction, 4 houses (visible in the image below) seem finished with the new owners already moved in.

All images shot with Fuji GFX 50S + Fujifilm Fujinon GF23mm F4 R LM WR @ 23 mm (18 mm in 35mm).

We chatted with one of the new owners. He told us houses were going for between $380k and $460k, 160 houses in total were going to be built eventually. There were no constraints other than qualifying for a bank loan, so it's a regular commercial project.

This commercial housing development project - according to him - started about 8 years ago. First the county had to acquire the land from the Department of Energy (DoE) and sell it to a commercial developer. A lot of time and work went also into the preparation of the building site. I noticed construction of houses commenced earlier this year, several months ago.

The street closest and parallel to St. Road 4 is a dead end street. From the dead end one has the following view.

Apparently a park is planned for this area. It borders on a Visitor Center, Public Library, grocery store, restaurant and hotel. In the distance one can see the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Turning around at the dead end one has the following view.

To the right in the above image are the houses under construction along the the other street parallel to St. Road 4. A more detailed look at the house in the left part of the above image follows.

Now going back up the street, we followed to get here, there are these views.

Further up the street is a lot where house construction hasn't started yet.

Now the view from above where the entrance street connects with the second street to the right in the subdivision.

More views proceeding down that street.

And the final view of house construction along this street that doesn't have a dead end but curves back to St. Road 4 across from the Public Library.

All images shot with Fuji GFX 50S + Fujifilm Fujinon GF23mm F4 R LM WR @ 23 mm (18 mm in 35mm).

Need help on this one, or drugs to calm me :)

On the 50R the interval timer shooting setting is greyed out...I've changed just about every other setting on the camera to no avail. I've consulted the documentation with no benefit. I've searched the web and come up cold.

Does anyone have any idea what the setting is to "un-grey" the interval timer shooting setting...or do you have a recommendation for a good calmative drug? :p

from the manual:

Interval timer photography cannot be used with multiple exposure photography. In burst mode, only one picture will be taken each time the shutter is released.

I generally have mine set on T but I had already also tried a fixed shutter speed and A...but to no avail.

I really don't want to go to factory settings, I've got the camera set up just how I want it and it's a pain to start again.

Grrrr this is a key failing of the Fuji interface which I otherwise really like. When menu items are greyed out there is no feedback as to why. It's really frustrating. To top it off Customer support is closed until Thursday next week.

mmm, the 50s manual also mentions bulb mode not suitable for interval timer.
perhaps reset to factory settings ?

Mmm, I understand your reluctance. So hopefully some one has a clue and can help you out.
Still, going back to factory settings might be your last resort.

Note: I only managed to get the 'Interval Timer' option greyed-out, when I put my 50s in bulb-mode.

Brgds.
