OK, so this is something I was able to figure out on the 50s, but cannot on the 100. What I’m trying to do is to focus (auto then manually adjust focus) using highly dense (say, 10-20 stops) ND filter.
To do so the LCD screen has to be bright enough (i.e, the sensor had to emulate receiving enough light, even in magnified mode, for the AF to see contrast. With the 50s the solution was incredibly odd: you had to have the exposure EV bar vertically on the left of the LCD; even the Fuji tech.help line couldn’t figure it out. I happened to stumble across it.
I’m not finding it on the 100 however. I’ve tried lots of variations and no love. Has anyone been able to do this? I hope I’m explaining it clearly.
TIA for any solution!
