WTB Leica Summilux 50mm pre-asph black paint

Hello.

I want to buy the 50mm pre-asph black paint edition with the red/white markings and the the knurled focusing ring.

I'm willing to buy about $1500 for a MINT version.

Hello, great choice for a lens, I have this exact model and really enjoy it. I'd speculate you'll have a hard time finding one at that price though, but good luck!

Actually got one, mint, sans box/case/6-bit, but with caps, for $1,500 via this forum about 3 days back....it's possible, but possible.

WHAT! Then I got ripped off! Just kidding, I've seen them go for anywhere from $1400 to $2200, but lately it seems more towards the high end. Glad we can still all enjoy these fine lenses, there must be a lot of this model out there (not necessarily black paint) since they were made for so many years.

You got a BP version 6 bit coded for $1500? or was it the standard black chrome?

They go for around 2k. More likely the black chrome one went for $1500. Let us know.

I'd love to score a black chrome version for $1500. They seem to be hard to come by as of late. I need to round out my M8 with a 28mm elmarit kit.
