    FS: 90 f2.8 Elmarit 6 bit coded

Just got a 90 Summicron Asph so this lens is now for sale. The Elmarit is one of the best bargains in the Leica lens family, don't know why, it just is. At f2.8 it is already tack sharp, combine that with the small size and you have a wonderful combination of performance and weight. Back to the best deal part, for the life of me, I do not understand why this lens is so inexpensive. The performance is better than the new Summarit and still sells for a lot less than those lenses. Ask the Leica gods why.

This lens has been 6 bit modified by John Milich and painted by yours truly. It comes with the box, leather case, front and rear lens caps. No issues with the front or rear elements, glass is clear internally, aperture blades free of grease or signs or wear. The barrel of the lens does not show any areas of wear.

I am asking $995 including shipping, $0 for Paypal gift check, +3% for regular Paypal.

Al, if I didn't already have the chrome one I'd snap this up! Any chance you'd be interested in trading for a mint chrome copy?
