    I would have LOVED to convert a red GF1 to IR, but could only find a black GF1.

    Good luck in your quest---you might find it easier to find a good deal on a used GF1 and convert it yourself. My IR GF1 is so much fun, I'd probably part with my normal GF1 before the IR GF1......

    Did you check the buy and sell? Jack Flesher has s black GF1 converted to IR for sale.

    FWIW, most red paints look white in IR.
