I have an excellent Gitzo 1530 mountaineer 6x CARBON FIBER tripod for sale for $400, including paypal fees and shipping within the 48 states. It weighs only 2.5 lbs and is rated to support 17.6 lbs. Although light it is especially stable because it has only three leg sections. It extends to about 53" without the center post, and 61" with it.
I bought the tripod new a couple of years ago as a second tripod. It's a wonderful tripod, but I haven't used it much. Gitzo recently replaced it with model number 1531, which as far as a I can tell is the identical tripod.
The tripod is in excellent condition. Only a few signs of use: a few light scratches or other small surface marks. No significant scratches or other defects. Operates as new.
