How does that compare to 8 element Vr I without googles? Someone have a MINT copy try to sell me. I have the one with Google but like one without for clearer view looking into rangefinder.
How does it compare to Vr IV? I have none to compare.

Everett--I have both at some point. Quick impression: the 8-element one is soft wide-open but I really like its OOF rendition--reminds me a bit of a "sonnar"-type bokeh (for certain type of background). Stopped down is when this Cron shines--super high-resolution. Unfortunately, my copy flares like crazy. The pre-ASPH version renders the color, in my opinion, much better than the 8-element and it is much sharper wide-open. It has a bit of Japanese look (not sure that is a word...it is a positive term.) I personally prefer the 8-element version because I like how it draws on B&W film better but honestly you can't go wrong with either.

Thanks bluebook. Someone try to sell me a mint copy how much should it fetch? I was told if there is haze inside, it's almost impossible to fix, hence looking for mint copy. My version with google is mint but with the goggles the image is not as bright with goggles in front.
I am thinking this version maybe nice added to my other 2 vr iv.
