I'm making up for some recent purchases: a Rolleiflex 2.8 E2 Planar, a Speed Graphic, and a custom 4x5 Polaroid conversion by Alpenhause

Oh yeah, and a pre-ordered Sony NEX-7 too.

Good gear sitting around unused is bad karma...

Heheh. The new gear sounds fabulous! I sold my Rolleiflex 3.5E Planar with Maxwell screen, and I feel like crying every time I think about it. Never let that one go!

Coincidentally, I bought a Canon 85/1.8 LTM on Monday from Adorama -- just arrived today.

I've alway wondered how this lens performed (and its optical characteristics) when used on a M9..when compared to some of the other well known Leica-M 90mm lenses.

Nothing earth-shattering here, but here's my set on flickr of this lens. Wide-open it's a bit low contrast-I had to bump things significantly in LR to get the results you see here. Upped blacks to ~14 and contrast to between +36 to +50 depending on the shot. Also vignettes a bit, but I like the effect. All these shots were wide open-if you're interested I'll try to keep the set updated as I take more...

Thanks ever so much. I'll look forward to looking at your posted images when I get back to a regular computer. I had a feeling it would be of lower contrast when shot wide open...which sometimes can be a good thingn depending on subject matter.

    Late reply a year afterwards.
Just collimated a mint Canon 85 1.8 LTM and it's very sharp on my M8 and no need to up the contrast at all .
