Zeiss Opton Sonnar 50/1.5 in NEX mount

Recent purchases are forcing the sale of this unique vintage Sonnar 50/1.5 in Sony NEX mount.

The lens was produced by Zeiss Opton around 1950 at the Oberkochen facility. It has the T coatings and the glass is in very good shape with no cleaning marks. The Zeiss glass from this period had small air bubbles, some can be seen in the 3rd photo. The aperture is clickless and is very smooth with dry aperture blades.

The helical is a Russian Jupiter-3 LTM that has been disassembled, cleaned, black anodized, repainted, relubed and is very smooth turning.

The Sony NEX bayonet is from a LTM/M39-NEX adapter. The attachment of this adapter to the helical is meant to be permanent and includes shimming to achieve infinity on a NEX camera. MFD is about 37 inches.

Note: This lens will not mount on a Leica screw mount rangefinder. I was not able to position the optical assembly close enough to get infinity focus on a Leica LTM or M mount camera.

$375 with Paypal included, plus $12 USPS Priority in CONUS.
