A perfectly mint condition Mandler-era (1975) 90 Summicron.
It is the third and last variation of this series 90.
I bought this thinking I would like to have a one vintage "signature" 90 lens, along with my 90 APO, (which is "blister sharp")
I tested the Mandler 90 alongside the APO and almost cannot tell the difference.
I have a tripod mounted comparison test I can send you, which shows the two;
90 APO/90 Mandler lens alongside each other.
This is truly is razor sharp, and spot on with my M-P 240's RF.
It does not make sense to keep two Summicrons. This one is heavier than the APO.
Butter smooth.
Not a mark anywhere.
Cosmetics 100%
Clear optics.
No haze.
No fog. Never a screw in the tripod mount threads.
It comes with both mint caps, and an unused Leitz
Rockleigh,NJ lens case. The lens box is correct with the matching serial #
I don't think this has ever been used.
I am not a collector, but this is fit for one.
If you want a truly spectacular 90 for a fraction of the APO this is the ticket.
