For sale - lots of ALPA gear

Hi all -

Well it's with a heavy heart that I have decided to sell off all my ALPA gear. The direction of my photography has changed, and all of this equipment has been sat in the Pelican cases for over 2 years now with almost zero use in that time.

Everything has been very well looked after, and is in excellent condition. You can expect very light signs of wear only. If there is something that you are interested in and want photos, then get in contact privately. I'm pretty sure I have all the original boxes/packaging for everything, but will go digging in the cupboards to confirm when interest shown.

All prices are in US dollars, and exclude shipping.

Offers/Discounts
I will entertain offers, but if I find the offer insulting, you won't get a second chance. For example, if you offer me $4,000 for the Rodie 32mm, not only will your offer be ignored, but I won't accept any offer from you for anything - even if you are subsequently willing to offer me the asking price.

If you are interested in multiple items, and the total of the listed prices for what remains available exceeds a certain amount, then the following discounts are available -
>US$10,000 - 10%
>US$20,000 - 15%
>US$30,000 - 20%


Shipping
All items are located with me in Dubai, UAE. Shipping will be by DHL courier only, with full value declared and insured.

I am not listing shipping costs for each item separately, since it is possible people will be interested in multiple items. Costs will be confirmed once orders are received. Shipping will be billed at cost to me, with copy of invoice provided.

Personal pick up is of course OK, and indeed encouraged.

Payment
Payment must be by wire transfer to my UAE bank account, with the funds transferred in USD. Cash in UAE dirhames is also acceptable for personal pickup (UAE dirham is fixed to the USD at 3.67:1).

Hi all -

Thanks to those who have been in touch so far.

I just want to clarify a couple of things, and also explain how I want to handle "offers".

Firstly - the ONLY option for shipping is DHL.

Secondly - the ONLY option for payment is bank wire. For the avoidance of any doubt, this means I cannot accept PayPal.

With regards offers -

If I receive offers that I am happy to accept, then I will reply to the thread (once per day) to indicate that interest has been shown on those pieces, but not mentioning what the offer was. If no better offer (or the asking price) is received within 72 hours, then I will sell to the person who made the acceptable offer.

I think that is fair and should be acceptable to all?

To any prospective buyers, please know that this seller is completely trustworthy and a good communicator, and the gear, in my limited experience, is in great condition as described. (I bought the Alpa Max.) The package arrived quickly and securely from Dubai.

I know that people are - quite rightly - concerned at times with buying remotely, but fortunately these days the speed of international bank transfers and courier services means that the transaction can actually be carried out almost as quickly as when the buyer and seller are in the same country!

Please refer to post number 7 in this thread for latest pricing. Everything listed in that post, except for the Back adapter and center filter for the 23mm Rodie is still available.

Please note that the 23HR, 50HR and 70HR lenses all come complete with their respective ALPA HPF High Precision Focusing rings included. Ex-Switzerland cost of an HPF ring from ALPA is 253CHF, so there's another saving for you on these three items!

Great to do business with you, and delighted to see this amazing gear go to good homes. It's sad to see it go, but it was sadder to see it sat in Pelican cases being unused!

Just a heads-up for anyone potentially interested in what is remaining, I will be on vacation from August 25th through September 9th inclusive, and naturally during that time will not be able to ship anything.
