Hi everyone. I need to sell some equipment to help pay off the credit card bill after hammering it with a new D3x purchase. Both items have been cared for meticulously and work perfectly. I will pay for packaging and shipping to anywhere in the continental US.

D3: no box but in flawless condition –
– $3500

70-200/2.8 ED VR: no box, flawless condition (used less than 500 shots)
– $1400

Well, I guess I priced my D3 too high? The price is now dropped. I would love it if anyone has thoughts or a response on my pricing...

D3: no original box but in flawless condition –
– now $3200

I doubt if the price is the issue.

New owners (i.e. not yet in high end DSLR's) will look at all the possibilities and see that your D3 is at the same price point as an A900. Given the feature differences the A900 will most likely win out.

The real market for the D3 is current Nikon users. If they need a backup body for the D3X, which specializes in low light high ISO use, the D3 is a no-brainer, even at this price.

Or a current Nikon owner who now shoots with a D200 or D2X and wants to upgrade, the D3 is a good choice.

Your real competition, I would say, is the D700. At its new price of $2999 (from B&H photo) it is a wonderful bargain.

Just my thoughts.
