Recomend the best software for editing 5DMkII video

Whats the Photoshop of video editors?

Would run on a Mac Pro 2.92 quad, 16gig memory. 7 terabyte disk with 100 gig stripped over two disks, so compute power should not be a problem.

Oh, what are the must read books on video editing.

Like Simon says, Apple Final Cut Pro or Avid Media Composer.

You might want to check the blog of Philip Bloom. And Pro Video Coalition is a great source too.

Most importantly take your time. Editing video takes considerable more time.

    I came across this:

"Final Cut Express will only support HDV video. Final Cut Pro on the other hand will support all HD formats. If you are shooting on a HDV camera at 1080i or 720p, MiniDV, DVCAM, or DVCPRO camcorder then you will be supported under Final Cut Express. DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO50, SD and HD card camcorder users as well as those shooting at 24fps will have to use Final Cut Pro HD. "
