    Mac: Leopard 10.5.6 update, 12/15/08

Just installed the 10.5.6 update. Seemed fine, no obvious issues. Was supposed to speed up Safari and USB performance and enhance some Adobe Photoshop functionality. So far I don't notice any appreciable gain from Safari.

I installed it too and I was shocked. The first time I started Safari, it fixed me a Beefeater Martini with two olives, just the way I like 'em. My kind of update!

Okay I did it too, must be nucking nuts but actually mail is quicker and junk mail goes into the junk mail folder. so all those sending me nasty notes your wasting your time but please continue to do so if it makes you feel better. I'm joking of course but actually there was a lot on this update for mobile me folks also. I will find the update notes and post it

Yep, have to say I do notice Mail is running a lot faster. May be my imagination, but the whole system seems to boot a little faster too.

Okay, Safari definitely runs faster now that it's had a day to re-organize itself or whatever it did. Boot and Mail definitely are faster. Also noteworthy is memory is released more quickly when programs are shut down.

The only thing hinky so far has been a minor issue with my B&W laser printer. It's attached via USB and my Mac Pro couldn't find it until I unplugged it and re-plugged the USB cable into another USB outlet. All good now. And my mail does seem a bit snappier.
