Less weight - do you use camera straps around your shoulder?

I am a wedding photographer. After a long day of shooting a wedding I am just so tired of having my cameras on straps around my neck.

I saw some people use camera straps around the shoulder which puts the weight on the shoulder rather than the neck area....

Do you use them? Which one would you recommend? How about HoldFast camera straps?

Thanks so much!

For what it is worth, I use an Artist & Artisan Silk cord strap, it is incredibly comfortable and the slight give and flex that it offers takes all the sense of weight and fatigue away even after long days of usage.a&aKumihimo Silk Camera Neck Strap.jpg

I used Spider Pro for a few years and was quite happy with them. I did get some pain in my hips if the shoot included extensive walking though, but then I mostly shot motor sports at the time, and walking could mean anything between 5 and 15 kilometres in a day. I did around 20 race weekends a year, so the total strain was considerable.

Later, I've gone back to one camera from each shoulder when I do a race occasionally. There's always a chance that one will fall off of course, but so far, that hasn't happened to me.

I have some back and neck spinal issues and could no longer hang a camera around my neck. My initial plan was to go for a Spider Holster with wrist strap but they're so expensive! At the local camera store, I was able to try on a Blackrapid Curve Breathe and was instantly sold. It's impressively comfortable even with a D810+grip+1kg lens. Blackrapid sells a couple of different models with very, very slight changes in the curve of the shoulder pad. If you can't demo them in person, buy them all and return what doesn't work for you. I love the Curve and I HATE the other options. It really is that big of a difference.
