Now that Adobe has released a more better version, I noticed that they have re-profiled the M8.
The major improvement to my eye is that skin tomes are now not nearly as too-red as they used to be. This is a significant improvement

This is an interesting observation, Bob. I installed the ACR update, but have not processed anything with it yet. One of my dislikes of ACR has been mostly with my Canon 1DsMkII files....horrible. The 1DMkII files are not as bad, but ACR does not get the reds and yellows right, IMHO, and it is hard to correct sometimes. I thought the M8 conversions in ACR 4.3.1 were a bit strong, and I had to keep dialing stuff back, and yes I do recall faces being a bit too red looking. I have been using Aperture for the M8 and 1DsMkII files instead of ACR. I will give it a shot after this weekend's shooting.
