Extraction of color feature from image

Sir/madam...

I am new to matlab and my point of interest is Image Processing..

I wonder if you can tell me how to extract color feature from image..??

Please guide me through this...

You can use any color model to extract a certain color.
Ex: You can use HSV color model to extract yellow color.
H belongs to (0,60) in degree , which is considered as a yellow color.

You should read more about to understand more.
