For folks that were needing a bit more noise reduction capability than provided by the stock Aperture tools, there is now the final version of the Noise Ninja plug-in from PictureCode available. Even if you have a "Pro Bundle" license, you have to pony up for a license upgrade ($20).
I did the installs on a MBP and a G5. As a plug-in, it is wickedly fast in comparison to the PS plug-in or the standalone version. The tools are a bit reduced, but provide most of what is needed (Chrominance, Luminance and Sharpening, plus halo suppression). The defaults are still a tad aggressive, but easy to back them down and save as a custom profile as needed.
Combined with the latest updates to Aperture (v2.1), the Noise Ninja plug-in does a pretty decent job if you need it, and it is way faster than most other tools out there.
Just thought to pass on the info and my personal experience.
