Apple really quick with raw update, for once

I was amused to read this news item from Apple, noting that they've got a new raw-file-compatibility update covering not only the Nikon D3x, but the Epson R-D 1x -- a camera that caught most editors by surprise when it was announced only a day or two ago, that won't ship until April 9, and that isn't even officially available in the US yet!

Maybe Apple's R&D group has finally debugged that flux capacitor...

Incredible... they have an update for the R-D1x of all things but still no support for the Panasonic LX3 or G1!

Maybe they're smoking the flux capacitors.

    Cheers,

I'm guessing that because they already support the R-D 1, and the R-D 1x supposedly uses the same sensor etc., they needed only to change some text strings in the code. The Panas undoubtedly would be harder since it's a completely new sensor. Wish they'd get on it, though...
