Delete Multiple Images from Capture One catalog

I am having difficulty deleting multiple images from Capture One (v9.3) catalog. When in Library tab , I click on first image in filmstrip to delete; then, I shift click on last of series of images to delete. The images all show proper highlight outline of being selected. Next, I use Command+Delete. Problem is that only the first image in the series is deleted, so I effectively have to delete each image separately. Any thoughts on how to delete a batch of images from a catalog? I am running C1 v9.3 on IOS 10.11.6 (El Capitan).

Make sure that "Edit All Selected Variants", is selected in the Edit menu

Capture One pull down menus > Edit > Edit All Selected Variants

That's it.
